Moving 2.2tb of data via Backup Exec might not have been the best idea… Started the backup job at 5pm yesterday… its still not done. Still have to run the restore.

Here’s a diagram to help explain my question/setup. I just want to make sure this is not going to affect the performance of vlan 1. In theory, since the client pc on vlan 1 is taking directly to the server on vlan 1, it doesn’t matter that the switches in between (physical OR virtual) are set to a larger MTU. The frames are still going to be 1500 bytes to and from the server. But i haven’t found any evidence to support my theory. Any thoughts or ideas?
